Do I have
to have new lines installed?
No - Digital Lines simply reprograms BT's top-level telecoms networks
to re-route your outbound calls through us. You start benefiting
from cheaper calls rates in the next calendar month.
Do I have
to contact my provider when I switch?
No - your number will be reprogrammed at network level. Digital
Lines will deal with all of this on your behalf.
Is there
any reduction in call or line quality?
No - your calls will be as clear as ever. The only difference will
be the price.
Will I
still receive a bill from my previous provider?
You still pay BT (or whoever your current provider is) for your
line rental; all your calls with be billed at Digital lines' cheaper
rates.
Will I
still get correspondence from my previous provider?
Yes - your account will stay much the same with them except that
you won't be making any outbound calls through their network.
What if
I change my mind or choose to cancel my service with Digital Lines?
After signing up for your cheaper calls, the law gives you a 14-day
cooling off period during which you can cancel the agreement without
obligation. However, even after this period if, at any time, you
want to disconnect your service, call us and we'll arrange it without
fuss in time for the next calendar month.
What stats
will I get?
As soon as you arrange to take inbound numbers from Digital Lines,
you'll have full access to our state-of-the-art inbound calls facility.
Our stats not only show you the time and date of the calls you receive
but also the geographic location of the callers. You'll know exactly
how many people called your number (or numbers), when they called
and where they called from. The stats facility is free to Digital
Lines customers - it's all part of the service.
Do I have
to have a license to earn money from premium rate?
In most cases, no. Revenue opportunities from the vast majority
of premium rate services are open to anyone. Certain services (notably
live chat lines) do however require prior permission from the regulator.
In all cases, Digital Lines requires you to abide by the codes of
ICSTIS and its governing body OFCOM
When do
I receive the revenue from my inbound numbers?
You'll receive monthly revenues from traffic generated no later
than six weeks after month end. For example, for traffic generated
between January 1 and January 30, you'll be paid around March 14.
For traffic generated between February 1 and February 30, you'll
be paid around April 14 and so on.
How many
numbers can I have?
You can have as many inbound numbers as you like, within reason.
