In essence, auto attendants manage your incoming calls, routing them to the correct destination. Think of it as a 'virtual receptionist'.

The auto attendant answers all your incoming calls, usually before ringing an extension. At that time a pre-recorded voice message welcomes the caller and offers a choice of destinations. For example - 'For sales, press 1, for service press 2 and so on.

However, Digital Lines speech recognition technology allows the caller to speak the name of the person or department they want to talk to - just as if they were calling a real receptionist. The calls are then intelligently routed to the required person or department.

Auto attendants are available that incorporate advanced features such as voice mail, information on demand, and follow-me capabilities. Digital Lines' Auto Attendant is able to route calls differently at different times - for example to send it to a different number before 9am.

Geographic Mapping
If your business has numerous offices or stores around the country, you might want to publicise one national number yet have calls from a particular area routed to a store in that same area.

That's exactly what Digital Lines' geographic mapping allows you to do. If, for example, you have a depot or location based in London and another based in Bristol you may want the calls that are received to your central number from the Southwest to be delivered to the Bristol office and Southeast calls delivered to the London Office.
