020
- Geographic numbers
020 (London) and other geographic numbers are now available to all
UK customers. There can be an obvious benefit to giving customers
the impression that you have a London presence. The cost per call
on a geographic number is substantially less than on Freephone.

0845 - Local Rate
Local rate numbers are charged to the caller at the same rate as a
local call, wherever they're calling from. Many telecoms providers
will charge you for this service. However, Digital Lines will not
charge you, though you can of course take full advantage of Digital
Lines' great online statistics facility.

0844 - Fixed Tariff (up to 5 pence per minute)
0844 gives a similar impression to an 0845 number, but costs the caller
slightly more. You will receive revenue every time you're called,
rather than pay for the call. 0844 can generate surprising amounts
of telecoms revenue, especially at off-peak times.
0870 - National Rate
0870 is used to consolidate regional points of contact into one central
number. In other words, callers from all over the country can phone
one number at the same rate. You receive revenue from every call made
to your number.
0871 - Fixed Rate (up to 10p per minute)
As 0844 is to 0845, 0871 provides a national rate call fixed at up
to 10p per minute. Using 0871 over 0870 will provide you with significantly
higher revenue rates yet is perceived similarly to the caller.
