| WAP,
in layman's terms, is the internet on your mobile phone. It isn't
used as often as it should be, but WAP can be used to present web-type
information on a user's mobile phone when they're on the move.
Additionally,
WAP can be used to create 'browse and buy' catalogues of mobile
content and other items. Billing messages can be sent immediately
to the handset as premium SMS, for downloading content or for accessing
premium areas of the WAP site.
WAP can also
be used as your employee's company manual on the move, with useful
information pertinent to remote working, such as Health and Safety.
